Integrations

An integration gives a workspace's agent tools for one system, like running a query in Snowflake or opening an issue in Jira. When you add an integration to a workspace, you give it connection details and choose which of its capabilities the workspace uses.

Available integrations

Integration What the agent can do
Airflow List and inspect DAGs, trigger and update DAG runs, read task instances and logs, create asset events
Altimate Platform Analyze Snowflake queries and tables, explain optimization opportunities, check SQL for anti-patterns, and query Altimate's Snowflake metrics
BigQuery Run queries on your BigQuery connections
Dagster Explore repositories, jobs and assets, launch and stop runs, and materialize assets
Databricks Manage clusters, run jobs and read their output, list and export notebooks, list files, and run SQL
dbt Inspect, compile, query and build your dbt project
GitHub Work with repositories, issues, branches and pull requests, through GitHub's own MCP server
Google Sheets Read, update and append to spreadsheets
Informatica Chart Informatica workflow dependencies to plan a migration to dbt
Jira Get, create, update and link issues
Linear Manage issues, comments, labels and projects, and read cycles, teams and documents
PostgreSQL Run queries on your PostgreSQL connections
Power User for dbt Explore, compile, run and test your dbt project through the Power User for dbt extension
Snowflake Run queries, get EXPLAIN plans, and read table statistics
SQL Tools Run queries on your connections in the SQLTools extension
Custom API Call any HTTP API you describe

Some integrations need something on your machine: GitHub needs Docker, dbt needs a local dbt project and Python, and Power User for dbt and SQL Tools need their VS Code extensions.

Altimate turns the dbt and Informatica integrations on for each organization, so they may not be in your list.

Add an integration to a workspace

  • When you create or edit a workspace, the Integrations step lists the integrations. Switch one on to add its connection details and choose its capabilities. See Create a workspace.
  • Later, use the workspace's Integrations tab.
  • Workspaces → Integrations in the web app's sidebar lists every integration, and your own under Custom.

Connections you save in the web app are stored by Altimate, with secret fields encrypted. The extension can also keep connections on your machine. See the Security FAQ.

Best practices

  • Rotate API keys and access tokens regularly.
  • Give each integration only the permissions its tools need.
  • Document your custom integrations so your team knows what they do.
