Workspace components¶
A workspace has four parts. You set them up when you create the workspace, and change them later from the workspace's tabs in the web app.
-
The systems the agent can reach, such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, dbt, Airflow, GitHub, Jira and Linear, as tools it can call
-
Documents the agent reads for context, such as your team's standards and guides, and Altimate's templates
-
What the agent learned in earlier sessions, shared by everyone who uses the workspace
-
Written instructions the agent follows for particular kinds of task
Integrations¶
Each integration gives the agent tools for one system, like running a query in Snowflake or opening an issue in Jira. When you add an integration to a workspace, you give it connection details and choose which of its capabilities the workspace uses. See Integrations.
Knowledge¶
Knowledge is the documents the agent reads: your own, uploaded to the Knowledge hub, and Altimate's templates. A workspace reads either every document in the Knowledge hub or a list you pick. See Knowledge Hub.
Memory¶
With memory on, the agent keeps what it learns across sessions, such as decisions, conventions and details about your project, and draws on it later. Memory belongs to the workspace, so everyone who uses it, in any tool, shares it. See Memory Hub.
Skills¶
Skills are instructions for particular tasks, kept in your skills library and attached to the workspaces that should follow them. See Skills.
Sharing¶
Who else can use a workspace is set on its Overview tab. See Share a workspace.
